I keep getting this msg
'failed to copyC:/programfiles/ssi/closecombat invasion normandy/cc.exe to system/original/cc5.exe because c:program files/iss/closecombat/invasionnormandy/cc5.exe does not exsist'
It also say's that I have installed it, but as an archive file??
It's odd, instead of a white box with a tiny RAR file inside, I get a VD CD extractor symbol. I've tried changing it to normal RAR file (but it then shows that it does not recconise the program) but it still extracts as normal through the VD CD program.
I get a list of all the components. Should they be in a folder or out of the folder in the plugin folder?
It say's I've also installed it, but it takes less than a second, and it say's it's an archive files.
I've tried installing the non-archived file but I keep getting the msg from my first post.
What are the common mistakes people usually make when trying these mods and pluins for the first time?
And instead of unzipping the file, you just rename it taking the zip off of the end.
Can you see the .zip extension? If not you may need to adjust your settings in Windows Explore to see extensions. The path to it is as follows
From the Menu bar in Windows Explore (NOT Internet explorer) select
Tools >>FolderOptions>>View Tab>>uncheck the box for "hide extensions for known file types" (see image below)
Now you should be able to see the file extenion on and just right click on the file and select rename and remove the .zip extension.
Now that you have just a .pln file, insert it into the Plugin Folder of your Config Manager install.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
