Howdy
I have a couple of questions regarding promotions in CCV. Is it possible to get promotions in CCV and if that is true, can you theoreticly start out as a private and end you career as a major?
I have never seen a soldier in CC ever get a promotion. I don't think its possible. They can be awarded medals but if there are promotions, I have never noticed it.
I agree...the stats of veteran troops also disappear when you take them off the BG Roster...so I don't think promotion is handled at all. Even in CC3...only the BG Commander (ie: player) gets promotions right?
I have plaeyd CC3 maybe 20 times trought and yes soldiers can be promoted.
Last time when i have played CC3 which was many years ago i got some groups
which survived from the first map to last and they leader was sergant in the start and 1st leutnant in the end, awarded with multiple iron crosses.
In other Close Combats i havent saw that, because usualy any battle group dosent got aneough battles for that and if they got they dont survive.
But seems that its allmost unpossible or at least hard in CC V because my
favourite leader is still corpral
Kind of sad to read this. I was hoping to get a major in CCV one day but as it would seem that day will never come (unless you tamper with the game some how).

Hi,
The promotion was in CC3. He's impossible in CC5.
I make think, why the makers of the game forgot about the corporal rank (not exist feldfebel) - there is the only older/high corporal (e.g. oberfeldfebel). Btw: why is sometimes two sergeants in the team? This is idiotism.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
