for some reason my AB piat units will never fire. they will sit there forever, behind a tank at 10-30m range and not fire. the team leader with the sten will be fine, but the dude with the piat will just sit there, seeking cover. this happens every time. any other squad will just attack the tank. i dont understand it? this has happend at least 5 times to me.
I had a similar problem with flamethrowers in Cross of Iron.
It turned out to be a command issue. The bloke with the flamethrower felt neglected and unloved because the nearest officer was 3 miles away. So he took a strop and refused to open fire.
Once I figured out what the problem was, the Commies were toast!
A Flamethrower needs to feel safe in order to use its weapon. You should check the experience, the morale and the cover of the unit A commanding officer should give confidence to the unit.
press f7 while the piat is selected and chek out the soldier status.
Sometime the piat crew get no los while his crew support soldier get los on the target.
then Piat crew will no firing
