Hi, I play CC for quite some time but never had the pleasure of playing online.
Obviously after some time the AI becomes stupidly easy to defeat so I was wanting to play against humans
So I wanted to know what are the most popular mods used online ( I have CC II and CC V). The mod I play most offline is GJS and would love something "similar". Also like it because it works without the CD (my CC V CD is in very bad shape and I want to keep it save as much as possible since I cannot find CC V for sale anymore)
And for last, how can I find people to play those? (btw I am Brazilian)
GJS4.4
Utah1.3
Stalingrad1.2
SAS (another Utah revision)
You will also find people playing:
SOC (Stalingrad Operation Circle)
SDK (Stalingrad Der Kessel)
TRSM (GJS revision)
Africa40-41
Overlord (GJS revision)
and others that I might not be thinking of.
Anything else I should be prepared to play online? I e heard about problems of CC V with firewalls etc...
Also do I need to have any specific port routed (even if I am joining a game?) ?My network is behind a nat, and I had issues in the past trying to play with other people (no gamespy) some CC games.
I am so anxious to face real players that don sit their tanks behind a house even when All i have left is 1 light machine gun an 3 rifleman.

Hi,
Stupidly easy???? Just start an SOC grand campaign and play during some days, let's say until 16 or 17th january.
Then, send me a pic of your situation and how you have kicked the soviet's asses....
Good luck
Cheers
PJ
Started today, when I have it with a few days running ... we will see
But its a quite interesting campaign. The extreme lack of supplies make it quite interesting. Although the IA still makes stupid moves live moving a KV 1 in rear gear in direction of a pair MK IV to retreat from a Pak that was ahead of it

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
