German Panzer Grenadier Div's were used primarily for offensive as was all german doctrine....attack...
that\s why they usually form 2-3 KGs per PzD/PzGD to be used for attacks/counterattacks. like they have in TRSM.
Quote:
they were not used as defensive divisions......thats what line div are for ....you know that
.
Rzhev, Stalingrad, Tunis, Normandy, Rhein, Poznan, Berlin - just some examples of PzD/PzGD divisions used in defence.

so imho it would be better for trsm and play balance to take some of the 30 odd tanks and 28 shreaks from the SS tank BG's and give some to the Pz Gd BG's
yer statement just shows that u haven't played TRSM long enuf.
Quote:
also.....whats with the deal with something like ...i believe its 28 shreak teams in the 12SS mk4 BG???
no, u r wrong with both numbers and BG.
Quote:
theres two diff types of teams and the both have shreaks!? is that a mistake........god i hope so......
no, that's not a mistake.
they r only in PLD as it was unique unit with unique organization.
anyway, u gotta read carefully the chnges declared in the first post of this thread .
Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I didn't feel like doing a new thread just for that.
Last time I tried playing this mod (a damn long time ago!) It had many bugs, and was for what I remember, nearly unplayable. How is the mod now ? Is there still a lot of bugs ? (because I really find this interesting)
Looks like the command tiger's tank leader only have a simple squad leader status instead of commander like in other command inf teams or vehicules, preventing them from getting higher ranks like captain.
Waiting for Mooxe ( ) or someone else to adjust install/uninstall txts. If someone wants to help with it, PM me.

I'm sure you already know about this, but I'll tell you about it anyway. Included with Configuration Manager, is a Plugin.txt file with the instructions for creating the install.txt & uninstal.txt files.
You could use someone elses txt files, then modify them according to your own modification.
But after a fine download and install, I first went to the Create a Scenario section to see right away the composition of the new BG and :
when I clicked on the PzAbt101 icon, it showed on top of screen the name of the I./726 716ID and clicking on Battlegroup info showed the composition of that infanterie BG also
same for the 20/9SS which is taken for the 857/346 ID
also the 22/10SS which is taken for the 858/346 ID
for the Allied : the 214 BDE/43Rd is taken for the 159BDE / 11th.
and the 5/GDS is taken for the 152nd BDE/51

Chym
yo got same bug.... but BG's are the right ones so it is just an icon bug
Don't know if you did it yet, but did you test the new situation with the german BG in port-en bessin? to make sur that the allied BG has full supply in order to avoid the same situation we had in Ouistreham before you added the new "to the beach" vl???
I agree that gold beach should be cleared by day 2 when the allied bg land in Port-en-Bessin but we never know

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
