To start with:
I'm encountering serious problems with Java Virtual Machine - all modding tools claim, that I have none. But in fact I have one, installed 3 times today. "Unknown class" problem is the one I have to cope with. I skimmed through a lot of different sites and forums, and this problem with JVM seems to be quite a common one. But most of the sites offers a solutions, that do not apply to my freaky PC. Is there any special solution of this problem for CCTools or I've to keep searching?

Pozdrawiam

Did you use the JVM from the CCS downloads?
BTW, are you running Vista or Xp? JVM should work on Xp...dunno about Vista.

Ok, I've overruned problems with JVM. Smile

Now:

While using StratEdit I've got new problems. Exactly two: as I try to load anything I encounter "java.lang.NullPointerException" or "com.ms.wfc.io.EOFException: Unexpected end of file". Can anybody give me any hint how to overcome this? (Yes, I've "read the instructions first" and obey them carefully).

Still waiting for help with "StratEdit"!

More:
While changing units stats in .adb files:
There are 3 white cells with unit's name and one beige (left). How to put unit's name in this beige cell?

Pozdrawiam

You have to follow the exact instructions included in the ReadMe.txt of StratEdit.
Why are you using stratedit? Are you making a new stratmap already?

As for adb files in QClone...the biege left column (1st column) is the same as the Full Name column...change that and the beige one will change also.

There's some basic modding tutorials at http://www.ccjunkies.com/

http://www.ccjunkies.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=27&Itemid=42
I suggest you go there and read up on them.

Good luck!
