Hmm...so technically a new WAR mod stratmap with max 44 maps can still be done with Stratedit...unless the Stratmap dimensions in the WAR interface is different to CC5.
But now there's also one more step after generating the images with Stratedit, entering the coordinates into the text file (not looking forward to this process). The new CC5.exe file generated by Stratedit is useless in WAR of course.

A new WAR Stratmap with more than 44 maps will have to me done manually (graphics and text data)...ouch!

Na, this isnt the way to go, its a huge huge step back, many mods never enter CC5 community even though they have strat edit tool, its such a major work load anyways.
Considder that the strat edit will not help the moders of WaR, and this will add a huge work load on the already aking backs of the moders. Even more mods will be drownd in the huge endless pile of work, uhhh.
And also, how many will not even start a WaR mod when there is no strat edit tool? Hmmm.. This need to be adressed.

Suggestion: Any chance you at the developer side can talk to the man who made the strat edit tool, to see if he is intrested in remake it to fit WaR?

Why did so many people have trouble using stratedit?

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
