I downloaded the pacific war mod from this site and it's 4 rars:
allmaps_pacmod.zip-All maps zipped for Pacific Mod
Battles.zip-Install these battles after you install the plugin file.
CAMP_OPS.zip-Install these campaign ops after you install the plugin file.
Pacmod819plugin.zip-Pacific mod plugin file

where do i put all of that so the mod will work?

Hey there!

allmaps_pacmod.zip --> unzip them to your Close Combat III/maps - folder
Battles.zip
CAMP_OPS.zip
Pacmod819plugin.zip

Those 3 above unzip to your Mod Manager/Plugins - folder

Then run your mod manager and install those plugins. First Pacmod819plugin , then rest of them.

Hi urias! The mod manager is a tool actually called Configuration Manager: you need it to install plugins in the game. You can download it from here: http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=49  .
Just unzip the file in a folder, then copy and paste your plugins in the "Plugins" sub-folder, and then run the .exe
Please, let me know if battles and campaign ops are working for you, i have some problem with them!

I have always called it mod manager. Dunno know why.

Tried that mod once. As japs and as yankees. Worked fine (played the GC bothsides).

the mod doesn't work for me :X
I did everything you said, put the maps in CCIII maps folder, all the plugins in that mod manager plugins folder and then run the exe. wich have only one option(pcmod somtihng like that) so I don't understand the "First Pacmod819plugin , then rest of them."
after I install it add new "system" folder, there pcmod folder and there some files with CCIII icon but it doesn't work
it gives me error when i click the icon

You don't have to run the mod from that folder. When you run "config51.exe" you can see two boxes: the one of the top contains the installed mods, while the one on the bottom the uninstalled ones. You have to select the mod you wish to install, then right-click on it and select "install". After a while it will be in the "installed" box. Then you simply have to run the game as usual. If you still experience any problem just ask! Smile

when i click on install it tells me:
"Failed to copy D:\CC3\Data\Base\Elements.txt tp System\Paclages\Pacmod2\Elements.org because D:\cc3\Data\Base\Elements.txt does not exist"
then when I click OK it says "Install Falied"

btw,the mod manager folder isn't at CC3 folder..

After fresh install you also need CCIII patch. You can find it on the DL section.
After installing that you can install mods.

And it doesnt matter where you mod manager/config manager is (I have never unzipped it into CC folder though).

Usually when I get that notification. I just uninstall first the patch then the whole game. And then I make a fresh install. Always worked out for me.

Definitely right! Anyway, shouldn't it work, you can just go in the System\Paclages\Pacmod2\ sub-folder of ConfigManager, open the "install.txt" file, search the line line saying to copy elements.txt to elements.org and just delete it. It is only a backup copy the mod uses to restore old files when uninstalling the mod.

So... When you start the game can you see the mod's interface? If you run a battle do you have German and Russian units, or Japanese and American ones?

My problem is the game crashes when battles and campaigns are installed, so you still have a chance! Wink Give it a good look: sometimes campaigns overwrite original ones, so you might have to check all campaigns and battles. Check also the "Custom Battles" section of the game.

Can you post the error you're getting, please? If it tells you about some file look for it on CC3 folders, and if you can't find it search among the downloads here...
