When I try to install a mod in the Configuration Manager it says "Plug-in Afrika4041_v1_1 does not have an install.txt file".  The same thing happens with every other mod I've tried.

It sounds like you have not properly unzipped the PLN file to the /Plugins folder. Have you tried the install guides?

Yes I followed the guides.

I download the plug-in on a Mac, it automatically unzips, I put the .pln file on a flash drive and put it on a PC with CC installed on it.

I have the same problem with Bloody Omaha - no install.txt file although they are present for the vet and sound plugins.  Can someone please attach the file for download or email it to me. Alternatively just paste the text here and I can copy it and make the file myself.

thanks

I dont think you are missing the install.txt file. Unless you deleted it manually? A missing install.txt file usually indicates an improper install siometimes because Config Manager messes up. I suggest going into your /Config manager/system/packages folder and deleted the BloodyOmaha folder. Take the original archive and unzip the plugin back to your /Config manager/Plugins folder.

Please reply on how this goes.

Unfortunately I deleted the zip file but I did unzip the file twice and the install.txt never appeared.  I do not understand how a zip file would not inflate all the files it contains????? so the install.txt cannot be in the original zip file.  I would be grateful if someone could post the txt contents here as I have a slow connection and it would take days to download the zip file again without any guarantee of success.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
