Please help,
          I went to the trouble of traking down and buying a new copy of the game to replace my lost copy which was a nightmare to find (as it was dis-continued - obviously) and now i cant even play the game which i love so much! I've installed it and added the patch'CLOSECOMBATIVPatch2' and ive also tried running it in 95, 98 and ME compatability but i cant still manage to run the game. i can hear the sound but it just comes up with the error "Unable to get format on Stream". If you know how to get around this please help. I am running XP by the way. Help appreciated, Thank you in advance..

sorted, kwp is the man. hold down control and disable videos.

hey there
im coming across a similar problem with the same error message and the game just exits every time after the 'loading' bar goes away..
when u say disable videos.. i know how to do it from the in game options but the game doesnt get that far.. how?

hold down the ctrl key as you launch.
This will bring up the options window.

disable videos, then play

There's one other way to disable videos and other options. Through Registry Editor, under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
You open the Registry Editor by clicking on Start\Run and typing regedit.

I wouldn't muck about in there if your not sure what to do.
