So today I've stumbled upon this vid:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzpUVtVUBTI

... and it was like - WOW! Shocked

Anyone playing this game? Is it worth monthly sub?

(I am in search for some "serious" online game... EVE being the first on my list but tbh this one is looking even more interesting to me).

Ive been a subscriber since it launched. Its a good game.
Infantry combat is a bit clunky. but armored combat is is nice and the flight sim part of it is pretty good.
Don't expect realistic combat and tactics. nobody ever mulit-crews vehicles and combat only really happens in towns. one downside is that sometimes there is just no real combat going on. a lot of waiting or boring traveling.
Dying in the game is very easy while playing infantry. one shot kills are the norm. you have to play smart and keep your head on a swivel.
Everything is historically modeled in terms of performance, ballistics and armor penetration ect.
I think its worth a trial subscription to see if you like it.
If anyone is interested in trying it out. Pm me, and I can join up in game to help smooth the transition.

I played it to when it first came out. It was probably the buggiest game ever back then but very good none the less. The best part about it was the in game community. I would attack and defend the same sectors as Germans 99% of the time. The same people would be with me each time to, as they chose to fight and defend in the same sectors. So that part was very neat. A lot of the game was travelling and walking. I have never had so much fun just driving a halftrack without any weapons just so the guys who manned the 88cm ATGs could get to the front line, as well as infantry getting a lift. The non-combat jobs are just as much fun.

My vehile of choise was the pz3, with its 37mm gun. I became a sharp shooter at it, I was able to knock our Chars and other tanks at beyond the scope of the aiming reticle. I would usually get on top of a mountain somewhere near Waterloo and snipe these tanks at extreme long range, quite fun. I stopped playing around 2003 just because the game was offering anything new, I know its changed tons by now though.

I was into in for a while, joined an Axis clan. I became the Opel Truck Master. Full of infantry I would drive max speed down a paved road then cut left, right between a hail of tank, at, and small arms fire stop right next to the radio bunker, unload, and take the flag. I played it not too long ago and they had updated it somewhat.
