'Close Combat V - Invasion Normandy' comes with 'Close Combat - The Longest Day'. Check eBay for 'Close Combat - Invasion Normandy'. I have it myself, I got it from an ebay store (new) for cheap (like two years ago). Unfortunately, I no longer see 'Close Combat V' on eBay (new), but you can find 'Close Combat IV - Battle of the Bulge' for cheap.

I don't approve of downloading software thats still being published, but I don't see the harm in software that's old and discontinued. There are dedicated web site with classic pc games and how to run them on xp vista etc. If matrix own the rights to the original CC5 then that's a different matter:-)
I want to know if the mods of cc5 funsionan in The Longest Day, since my original version of cc5 rompio and I cannot play the mods of the forum of cc5, since I cannot obtain cc5 and see that the The Longest Day is a version updated of the same one.
