"Unable to find Operation in Data". My, that takes me back... had this happen to me on occasions back in the days...
Does this happen on EVERY Mod? Which one's?
We used to get this problem even on Win98 + machines, and is due to something screwy with the Campaign/Operations/Battles files, but I can't for the life of me remember now what the solution was. Either something missing or something that has to be taken away. I'll try and delve into the reserves, and see if I can come up with some intelligence, or maybe someone else with a better memory than me can jump in and comment.
Surely this can be worked around without having to buy CoI Schrecken?
Though ohm2121 if you can afford it, I would recommend it as the AI is better, and the New Grand Campaign that comes with CoI is a cracker IMO. And you still get ALL the original Campaigns, Operations, and Battles anyway, and all the good Mods are available for it too. It also comes with MMCCIII which gives you another Campaign environment to play with, so I reckon it is worth it, but then I am biased
It's coming back to me now The error comes usually when a Mod is not removed completely, and leaves some files behind which screws CC3. I also seem to remeber that there is/was a Mod where you had to remove one of the Stock Campaigns or Operations for the Mod to work, but can't remember the specifics. WF?
ohm2121, if you get CoI and use ModSwap, then these things will not happen. In the early days of CC3 Mods, things were not always so straightforward, and you had to fix problems manually, not really something for the novice...
You could try deleting all the files in the Campaigns, Operations, and Battles Folders, and copy them again from the CC3 installation CD. You will find them there in the same Folder Formats as on your Hard Disk, but if you do have a Mod that has not uninstalled correctly, then you still might get some wierd shit going on, so probably just as well to uninstall CC3, delete ALL the Game Folders, and then re-install.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
