Current situation as of Day 5 turn 2
Looks like the Allies are moving forward.

Elsenborn Ridge:
Never did find the American Tank, but we have the exit VL's we need and good high ground to the West and the South.

Champs:
Not a good time here,Half-Tracks vs. Tanks.Interestingly enough was that the American Tanks had LOS on our troops in the houses but never fired a shot untill the last 40 seconds,so we continued to mow down their soldiers who probed ahead of the Tanks.

CAMPAIGN BLOCKED

Malmedy - F B Brigade VS CCB 7 Armour.  I know this map well  Wink  but it's been a long time since I played it. So long in fact, that more trees have grown since I was here! (Thanks to Jimbo)

A meeting engagement so I had to capture the town. The Americans held the high ground. My PzIV/70 slugged it out with a Sherman and won, Command Panther got another and the other Panther hunted the mortar 1/2 track which caused most of the casualties. We have the town back and the bridge to the paper mill.

Trois Points - Uber Panzer BG Kullman VS 26 / 1 ID.  I notice no one has put any infantry into this totally unrealistic BG....
I hoped for a tank slug fest but instead I got heavy TD's in a forest on a muddy road  Rolling Eyes  I heard Arnie say "No clear path" about 50 times. I lost 1 tank to a bazooka. Next time I get infantry....

Yes I hate the zoomed in view in this engine. The original CC4 full map was better. Even TLD I dont like, a larger keyhole to view would help.

I can't do my strat moves without viewing the Connections.pdf

I use THIS ONE - http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/modules/Forums/files/warstratmap.gif

Also the strat map shows a road from Meyerode to Malmedy but their is no connection(F#*@'s me up everytime)

There are lots of roads on the strat map that turn out to be dead ends, very frustrating. I guess you can just call them blown bridges  Wink

Actually Grunt you want to use this one.
It corrects the misplaced fuel depot (from Krinklet to Ramscheid).WAR Strategic Map

What great deployment the AI was left after the past few Battles.

Peiper did his job on CCR/9th AD
Dammed American still had some fight in them.
Best part of the whole Battle was running over a Sprite with my Panther while in route to capture the last VL.

Martelange:
The house on the other side of the Bridge is a GREAT place to mow down the Americans with an MG42.
We had another one right where the Tanks is now that was doing good too.
Unfortunatly the Sherman caught wind of our Stug and disabled it's main gun leaving a shreck team to try and finnish the job.
Which he couldnt.

KG Krag at Elsenborn Ridge

Used ss recon teams and 4 StuG IIIs to seek and destroy the lone Sherman defending the Ridge. After the Ronson went up in flames, the American defense fell apart in the face of a combined arms assault.

KG Telcamp at Malmedy

Panzergrenadiers dismounted from our Panthers and halftracks as we entered the city of Malmedy. Rifle and shreck teams worked their way into the buildings while the Panthers covered the long narrow streets. Ranged duels from town into the woods went badly for the Americans, and eventually we were able to assault the bridge...

...and encircle the surviving American force by flanking with Panthers and infantry from along the forest trail.

Trois-Ponts - I gat 2 FJ units across the river and started to pick up VL's but a M36 and 3 US units cleaned us out  Crying or Very sad   My 88's were in bad positions and they're not real mobile... I killed the M10 in the forest but paod for it with 2 shrek teams. Not a good result. I wish I had the Jagdpanthers back.

If we keep posting casualty rates and AARs, we could do a count at the end and see who the most wasteful person is!haha... The Fuhrer is already pissed from other battles... four tanks in one battle? Sheesh!
