i like my outlines to show cover and the unit badge to show cover as well.

because i think cover is a very important consideration, which is hard to judge without the outlines

i read somewhere that they used the team icon to show ammo, i tried that but i couldnt get into it, i'm just too used to how ive always played it. anyway, i can always tell when my men are running low on ammo... they dont shoot as much Rolling Eyes

No outline but I like to have the Command coverage showing.

Team icon = health
Soldier icon = cover.

I like to see how well concealed they are, mostly for setting up.

i hated outlines, but in the tourney i used ammo outlines purely to see my blokes, and to quickly tell em apart. usefull for morters at a quick glance.

did me fuck all good, my lines got broken and i panicked under rapid deployment, i had no plan B if i failed to reach objectives.
wont do that again lol.

also learned to use morters more thoughtfully, keep some ammo for the last rushes or enemy panic running, when there most effective.

Soldier Outline = Cover (I want to see everyone in the green!)
Unit Icon = Supression (Sniper, sniper, sniper!)

Mine are set on Do not show currently.

I have tried a fw of them before but dont ever seem to get much use out of it other than making it easy for my tired ols eyes to see my soldires easier.

It's not that hard in CCIV to see whos doing good and who isnt.

cover for outline display, command or ammo for icon, depending on situation. dont need to have it all green all the time tho.

i dont use them at all - i think its gets in the way of gameplay personally. i prefer the more "realistic" par say or clearer view of my men in the battle. sometimes the lines and icons everywhere just seem to cause a cluster of unneccessary crap.

Outline in black. Keeps it more real and pleasing to the eyes for me, while still giving soldiers some definition on the battlefield.

Squad icon. This week I've been using "command".
Used morale for a long time. Tried cover for about a week. I'm liking command for the icon lately. Important info for heads up.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
