Why do neutral/ennemy obj. takes 1/3 of the map in Bayeux in a german counter attack?

I think there is other maps like this too

It's mostly when axis counter attack and you defend the map

most of neutral points are key location for defense.

IS there  reason(gameplay?) why they don't give a tiny strip of it

or does it modulate when you hold other capzone around?

I do not think it is a map specific problem, though the size of the map does impact it happening.

If I remember correctly it is due to having overlapping deployment zones or no deployment zone available thus the game defaults to 1/3 setup for deployment, neutral and deployment.
