Is there a good description of campaign mechanics in CC:TLD? I'm playing one of the operations as Axis (against the AI), and it's not clear to me how I should manage my forces. For example:
- Will I be battling over a particular map until one side is pushed away or destroyed?
- Can I surrender a map? If so, how?
- If a BG gets anihilated, will there be other BG's on other (in-land) maps to take over? Or, are the BG's I'm starting with (on the maps along the sea shore) the only ones that I will have available? I mean, there are a few BG's in-land, but they are much fewer than there are maps...
- How to check battlegroup cohesion?
The manual sometimes refers to some of these things, but there is no single place that would explain in detail how a campaign actually progresses.

Hey buddy,
I have no TLD but I will answer to you as I have CCV:
- Will I be battling over a particular map until one side is pushed away or destroyed? - Yes
- Can I surrender a map? If so, how? - No, only CCIII had surrender option (or older versions)
- If a BG gets anihilated, will there be other BG's on other (in-land) maps to take over? Or, are the BG's I'm starting with (on the maps along the sea shore) the only ones that I will have available? I mean, there are a few BG's in-land, but they are much fewer than there are maps... - Depends of the coding mate.
- How to check battlegroup cohesion? - sorry dont understand that question. Do you mean pushing "space" when leader group is selected (dont know if this works in TLD?
If you hold the exit VL's you can move your BG off a map during the movement phase.... in effect abondoning the map without any penalty.
if you will disband you will suffer a penalty.
Before and after each battle you will be taken to the strat screen.
On the left is a clock/timer, you can click forward to see when or if other BG's arrive to aid you.
For cohesion you can check it when you are on the strat screen... click on a BG and a bar at the bottom of the screen indicates cohesion level see page 49 of the manual for a pic and page 45 for an explanation.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
