What do you think so far?
I didn't watch the inauguration but did see the first match. I thought it was a good game, as always Mexico having more possession of the ball but failing to complete plays, South Africa surprised with that fantastic goal but Mexico recuperated and scored a goal more out of will than technique but still a goal. South Africa could have decided the game but the right pole said no. The mexican goalkeeper 'Conejo' Perez may be old but he still has the luck.
In conclusion South Africa demonstrated that they will not be the easy one in this group even with all their limited skills they still are good at counter attack and they are fast! Mexico showed a bad defense and strikers that still cannot complete plays.
Next in a few moments: France vs Uruguay
I have nothing against the french but there's no justice if they advance from the group stage after what happened with Ireland.
Uruguay 1-0 France

Well that was a pretty boring game.
Tomorrow's ARGENTINA VS NIGERIA and USA VS ENGLAND should be interesting, after that I will wait until the Dutch to style over Denmark.
Also lol'd at Henry calling a hand in the area, what a nerve!

Uitstekend! Well done the Cloggies! I hope you go all the way, but Germany is proving to be a tough team and will be hard to beat. It looks like a Dutch/German final this time as I reckon Germany will beat Argentina. As to my own countrymen, I am sad to say that they lived down to my expectations...

well VonB you can't expect the same team to win twice
I think if Italy would have change 30% or so of his team roster
to younger player they may have gone further
I'm not an expert(where I live we called it soccer and hockey is #1)
but I can't believe they went with almost the same team
Now tomorow Spain-Germany Euro final#2 I hope it will be germany's turn to win
then it'll be a giant battle

I am talking about England (which may not seem clear from my Profile). I am a Brit, born in Malaya, and now resident in Ireland. Whilst I think the English League (and in particular the Premiership) is possibly the most demanding of any Nation, English National Football is a bit of a joke, has been for decades, and looks to continue that way. I never rated Capello as someone who could deliver anything special for the National Team. We have good, even great players, but that does not a winning Team make, but while the FA is involved, I don't see that changing.
However, Holland was also my home for 6 years, so I have a soft spot for them, and that's why I hope they do well!

Das war´s! Spain proved to be more mobile and our boys couldn´t unleash a Blitz. Well then, maybe next time. Well done, Spain! Beat the Kaasköpp.

I picked Nederlands to win after the first round. Plus they have the same color uniforms I had back when I played in AYSO. But congrats also to Espana - 1st time to the big show. Either way it will be a first for whomever wins - yea it should be good match.

Yes, well done Spain! Bad luck Germany, but you did not really turn up on the day (as you have done so well in previous games), so I think the best team on the day did win.
Hope it s good final, and good luck to both teams (but I hope Holland win )

Whoever wins, it'll be great...
I never thought we would reach sooo far... We've already done more than probably any of us would have expected, so even if netherlands win... Great!

Ci exactamente. Either way it will be a win, win. I am still very proud of my USA team to finally win their pool. As tough as it was to see them lose to Ghana in the extra time...at least they advanced to the next round in dramatic fashion. No Brazil, no Argentina...first all European final in 70+ years?
