Hello  !

Can someone "write" a mod (CC4/CC5) for this battle ( Hochwald Gap) ?
I found some clues on the Internet and I watched a documentary on Discovery too:

In February 1945, Canadian forces launch an attack to cross the Rhine and enter the German heartland. This is the story of the struggle for the Hochwald Gap - the final obstacle blocking the Allies, which the Germans are determined to hold at any cost. The Hochwald line was the last of the German defensive lines the Germans had constructed on the Lower Rhine.

Here is a link (hxxp://www.ww2talk.com/forum/television-reviews/32877-hochwald-gap.html)
I have no intention to promote this site, it's just contains useful info (maps, historical facts etc.)

Best regards,
combot

Hi Combot,

The battle for the Hochwald was part of a major Allied offensive towards the Rhine. There is a mod in its planning stages : http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewforum&f=95  . "Hochwald" seems to have been part of Operation Blockbuster which will be included in the mod.
Buck Compton and myself will probably commence on it this fall after we finish Ortona.
At this point I am not sure though how the Hochwald battle will fit within the scope of our mod. We are not that far yet.
Until then I suggest you try our Scheldt mod that also includes Canadian forces  Wink

Cheers,

Pete

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
