Getting the following error when trying to install VetMod_v2 using the CfgV13 CC5 Configuration Manager:

Failed to copy C:Program Files\SSI\Close Combat Invasion Normandy\Data\Base\AIsTeams.adb because C:Program Files\SSI\Close Combat Invasion Normandy\Data\Base\AIsTeams.adb does not exist.

It does exist though.

Have tried running in all the compatibility modes as well as checking run as administrator and right clicking and running as administrator.

Any ideas?

It's not a compatibility problem
1) does the file exist ?
2) the file could be locked =>restart windows
3) are you able to install other mods ?

Yes, I saw the file where it was listed.

I've restarted the computer several times to no effect.

Although, CC5 does fail when it tries to load eventually. It won't load to the Mattel screen, says can't find maps. Runs after initial install, but won't run after. Keeps coming up with errors.

it may be you have to reinstall the game ....but unplug the mod and see if normal cc5 works?  and try again.

I had tryed several time to install and run the cfg trought my vista 64 bit Os...
It failed everytime, whatever i tryed...
So the only way i found to be able to run a mod is to use
multiple game install...

First make a full game install.
copy the folder close combat invasion normandy folder
and paste it in the SSi folder.
rename this new copied folder by placing at end of the name the mod name
ie: "close combat invasion normandy GJS"
So now u have 2 folder in SSI folder:
close combat invasion normandy
close combat invasion normandy GJS

Install all map file in close combat invasion normady GJS map folder

download the mod in none plugins file. If u cant found it just download the mod.pln
rename that mod.pln file by replacing .pln by .zip
Then open this folder created. This mod.pln will be changed in a zip classic folder
with many file in.
Now u can manually replace each of those file in the right CCV folder
Once you have replacing all mod files u ll be able to launch CCV moded

Now u are ready to use your mod...
to be able to launch it, that s simple...
just rename the original folder...

Close combat invasion normandy will began Close combat invasion normandy reg ( reg for regular)
and close combat invasion normandy GJS will began Close combat invasion normandy...
Launch your ccv and GJS will be loaded...
This way cost a lot of space in your HD.
But this is the only way  found to be able to launch a moded game on my 64 bit vista Os

Tout est possible ... il faut juste connaitre quand.

The reason that your CFg isnt able to found a file on your CCV is that...

In vista, the C/ programe files folder is  "locked" to secure it facing a worm/virus attack...
So a programe cant modify a file on this C/programe file folder...
that's why cfg cant found this or this file in the right CCV folder...

I tryed to install CCV in other HD but the problem is to modify the CCV path ...
I didnt found the right ccv registry to edit the path on vista Os...
It seems to be different that to found it trought a XP os...
So installing CCV in another hd will not work anyway ...
Maybe someone can told us how to edit registry by using vista 64 bit
and then the problem will be solve i suppose

Hmmmmmm, I could try that Zappi4 and see if that works. I'm a little confused as to the steps, but I'll come back with any questions.

Tigercub, it won't let me install any mods.

well if u need help, contact me...

1- CCv full install by default.
2- patch it with patch 5.01
3- copy and paste the " Close Combat Invasion Normandy" into the SSi folder
4- rename this ccv copied folder by adding at end name the mod thats u will install.
5-Download the mod map pack and unzipp all map into map folder of the the pasted new CCv folder.
6- Download the mod.pln and rename this files by replacing the .pln by .zip
7- Open the ziped file u will found all file needed to mod your CCV
8- move manually all file in at the right place in your pasted CCV copy
9- If you feel it too difficult because they are too many file into tthat zipped folder,  u can move all file from the zipped folder into each CCV folder. ( but in this way u ll get a operation, battle campagne section on game completly mixed)
now rename your priginal CCV folder by adding at end Reg.
10- rename the pasted CCv folder by deleting at end the mod name.
launch your CCV

Tout est possible ... il faut juste connaitre quand.

The default path for x86 program installations in Vista x64 are:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\

now i still need to figure out how to make what changes in the ssi folder to make this work
