First of all, i have to thank everybody has made a mod for the CC series, 'cause they have definitively push me to throw overthere the ''other'' wargames i tasted in these years....
Then i have some old un-answered questions that concern the meaning of colours in CC.
For example i noticed that sometimes the team info icon (which i use to display the cover) are coloured in black, but in manual i founded only the meaning of red, yellow and green.
What does a black icon means???
Another question is about the range radius of each unit, which appears in red, yellow, green and black.
What does every colour means?
Is the type of unit or what else?

The colour black signifies that the unit has little (but >0) of whatever you're measuring. For example, I like to show the amount of cover the unit has. A unit showing black may as well be sitting out in the open (altho' truth be told, my infantry units showing green while hiding in buildings seem to be spotted just as quickly)
The range circles & their colours show how much leadership ability the unit has, and the area over which they have influence. Your natural leadership units (such as platoon leaders & command tanks) tend to have large circles in green. The line units (unless they have unusually charismatic leaders) tend to be medium-sized & yellow, & the replacement units & most heavy weapons usually show as small red or black circles.
There are, as always, major exceptions. I've been playing the 1945 Berlin Mod, And I've wound up with a "weak" Volksgrenadier unit (in terms of experience) w/a medium green circle. They've been invaluable for anchoring my base line, allowing my assault units to, well, assault!

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
