Are you guys kidding? Is there anything that can approach the "Patton" theme for motivation. I still sing that to myself when I need a push.
On the flip side of war movie music, the theme from Band of Brothers, although a little heavy on the shmaltz, always calls up the sadness and desperation of war, but also reflects that preserverance through the horror leads to a noble victory. I use the sample from the CC5 downloads as my music on the game screen, sets the stage nicely.
