PostPosted: Sat Jul 30, 2005 2:49 pm Post subject: CC5 on win xp? Reply with quote

Hi
I have written about a problem when I exe cc5. I have the game installed on win xp and it used to work fine. I have talked to a support guy and he said that i it can run with some settings on xp but he couldn't tell me which and the game is at best unstable.
I'm thinking about getting win98 and making a dual boot, but I was just wondering if any of you are using xp?

Actually both Smile

I have never had any trouble running it just like it is on XP on two, no make that three machines now, one that I built myself, & two that I've bought. No wait! There's a 3rd one I've bought! I've never had any trouble running it on 4 different XP machines, one that uses XP Home & 3 that use Pro. No, Wait!

(just kidding, I was starting to reminisce about spam & vikings)

I've run just about all of the mods on the 4 machines, also.

I've heard though in the past, that some people have had to modify their CC5 shortcut properties & set the compatibility to Windows 98.

I run CC3, 4 and 5 on 2 machines with XP Pro.
The two machines are quite different, but both have dx 9.0c

Hello guys!

I have just installed CC5 on my XP machine and launching a campaign or mission I encounter following message: "Cannot continue because there is no space on the disc. Free some space and launch CC again".

What should I do? I have 25 GB of free space on my C drive... Crying or Very sad

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
