The AMD 64 looks to be faster - I might even go all out and buy x2 chip
just wanted to make sure it would work for this game. I was looking for a barebones box at tigerdirect and just add to it Very Happy

I don't think theres many programs besides linux that realy
have made anything for the 64bit chip, but if your looking
towards the future & have the money get it other wise
save on the cpu and get good memory and a good video card.

BTW L4W love your method Very Happy

Don't worry, cc5 isn't that much of a monster game pc-wise. Just have a decent videocard and memory quantity, processor brand is unimportant, as long as it does its job..

a 700mhz or more for cheap. I buy them all the time to make
a quick buck and I usally sell them for $125 to $175 USD for a hole

well I doubt you will just want to use CC5 on your new computer so a good
decent starter would probaly have these Components

CPU - 2.0 GHZ to 2.6GHZ (AMD will be alot cheaper,XP series chip is a good cpu)
Memory - 512 megs DDR pc 2700 or 3200
hard drive - 80 gigs
video card - look for nivida or ATI 64 to 128 megs "don't go with on-board video" were the video card is on the mother board

well thats the core components I would look for a decent computer manufafcture isn't realy that imporant but dell usaly makes a good computer
if you realy just want to run CC5 look through your local paper in the classifides
and go with cpu- 500mhz / mem - 128 / HDD - 40 GB / video - 32 meg / but
I wouldnt recomend that but its up to your buget. you can PM if you need
some more help
