Well, they were deployed in Tunis... nothing critical, is only a "bonus" unit.
Ummm you are using somekind of alternative vehicle icons to simulate 3D and not using shadows??? looks interesting specially help to notice better terrain elevations.
The middle image shows a somevente 47mm with a cover for combat camera no?
great vehicles (are they made in 3D?). Why no shadows?
Correct, in 3D. About shadows...
1) I’m not very good in 3D graphics and it’s very difficult for me to make new realistic shadows for vehicles. Old shadows with new vehicles look ugly.
2) I’m not very good in mapmaking too and I used some “old” maps ( or part of them ), but turned them. So the shadows direction on my maps is not always to the South-East.
3) Don’t like “shadows system” in Close Combat because it’s not realistic. For example, the vehicle in the shade of a building still casts shadow on the ground…

More realistic shadows should be a benefit from the new 3D Close Combat but lets wait and see if that turns out be true or not....

I would recommend to have vehicle shadows regardless, because they help to give them a more "on the ground" feeling. Otherwise, without shadows they seem to be floating in air.

Agree with you, but "floating in air" feeling disappears after some hours of playing mod

I have done a quick research for allies photos and I don't have found nothing (only a small correction: Copland-Griffiths).
If nobody will be able to help you, maybe will be better "to rise one grade" if you want to use commanders photos, or let these names without photos.

I would actually prefer to see names of the commanders. If you can't get photo, it could be ok for me to see a generic photo of a commander from a zoomed out perspective photo. (e.g. while he is giving orders to the troops).

I think it’s time to announce my new mod for CC5-TLD – Battle for Tunisia. It represents the campaign in northern part of Tunisia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunisia_Campaign ) from November 1942 to May 1943 after British-American invasion of French North Africa ( Operation Torch ). The main idea of the mod is strategic meeting engagement. In the beginning of Grand Campaign ( see the picture ) nobody controls the whole map, there is no front line, both sides have only 3 battlegroups and so on. Allies are US, UK and French; Axis – Germans and Italians.
Current status of the project:
Music, sounds and intro video – 100%
Maps – 100%
Graphics:
Guns, soldiers, wrecks, planes and 3D vehicles – 100%
GameGadg, ScrnGadg.gdg and CCImages – 80%

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
