HI

having trouble installing mods for cc 5 inv Normandy
an error message (failed to copy cc5 does not exist)

is there a fix for this , OR HOW DO I OPEN THE PLN FILE  to transfer manually  ie what tool do ineed

So the error message is correct in this case. Its trying to backup your original files from the default folder. Its not finding those files. You probably installed to another folder. If you could screenshot or type in the EXACT message you get, and also show the exact location of your CC5 install... I think it can be fixed quite easily.

To open the PLN file manually, just add .zip to the end and double click it to open the archive.

We see Config Manager is looking for CC5 in the default folder. GOG installs it into its own folder.

Option 1;

- Uninstall CC5
- Reinstall CC5 to C:\Program Files\SSI\Close COmbat Invasion Normandy\
- Attempt to install mod

Option 2;

- Open up regedit.exe
- Search for all entries of Close Combat 5 or Normandy or Invasion Normandy
- CHange the default install folder to the GOG folder

Are you Windows 10?
I am, click the search thing at the bottom left. Search: Regedit.
It opens up some program called registry editor.

I'm stuck on this stage as well. Still can't get CfgV13 to recognize my CC5 game and install the mod.

I couldn't actually find Close Combat under regeit.
