The 64 map stratmap for MEUSE for LSA is getting close to finished.
- Could need all of you guys opinions and critiques. (Remember this is a low resolution version because of 2MB max for image attachments)

Thanks!

Thats great feedback - because Tejszd and myself put some effort into making sure that there was good visibility of the connections. - The colours/design of the roads is tested and we think they work well with the red-green overlays ingame as well.

Wow, sweet.
Looks great.
One minor point of critque is that "ardenne" should be plural "Les Ardennes" (french), "The Ardennes or Ardennes" (english).

Thank you Aetius! Tejszd metioned the same thing actually. The "Ardenne" text is taken directly from a period French Michelin roadmap that was also used as a base for the road networks amd borderline. But the same map also uses the plural in a different font. - In the end we agreed on the first option. - EDIT: The screenshot somehow missed the last S on the bottom - updated!

In french both words (Ardenne/Ardennes) are used.

A few thoughts -

- To my weak eyes, needs a bit more contrast between the forested and cultivated areas.
- Three road categories (gray, gray/orange, gray/red) aren't needed. Two road categories, major and minor, would be sufficient. No need to remind CC players that motorized formations cant move any faster than infantry regardless of terrain.
- The 'Ardenne' label defines the eponymous French department more so than the entire forested region. This may be intentional. If not, then the label could be moved up.
- Caveat emptor or identify BG spawn maps so the opposing player knows to garrison them after capture?
- Not sure if the circled red triangles represent something other than larger towns. The unnamed one in the lower left (Marle?) confuses the matter. Too similar to the symbols for observation bonus map areas in Pitf/GtC? Perhaps ditch the triangle and just use large/small circles to represent major/minor large towns.
- Label the Meuse and Sambre rivers.
- Could also use a couple instances of subdued France/Belgium labels along the border to assist the geographically challenged among us.

Very much looking forward to the expanded port of your mod in LSA. Suggest offering some 'in-progress' save files as an alternative to the generic attack/defend and meeting engagement set-ups of the battles/ops/camps. Would happily play some save files from the recent Meuse mod play-thru. Nothing beats a 'lived in' battlefield Smile

Being able to have units in reserve so as to not have to take over all the territory again when switching units in play is one of the most important reasons that I really enjoy games from LSA on, or mods ported to it. Also makes it easier to have a unit replaced for a little R&R. Keep up the good work ScnelleMeyer.
