Hi,
Germans pioniere unit seems don't use his flamethrower against tanks at the correct range (green shoot).

Do you have some suggestions?

Thanks

Silvio

Hi, It depends on many factors, for example on soldiers inteligence and strenght. They can be also scared and do not fire, so they need support. Look at the soldiers monitor and observe what the men with FT do.

try moving fast towards the tank.....assaulting.......a command squad in the pioneers radius helps too.
let us know if that works......it often works in GJS

Hi Silvio,

I am having the same experience: my Pioneers seem to take forever until they are ready to use the flame-thrower. In the meantime, the enemy tanks can kill them one-by-one at leisure.

I agree with tomekj5 that other factors can easily be the reason why the flamethrowers are so slow. A combination with a Panzerbüchse however, is quite lethal for any tank in the vicinity.

Still, it is a sensational mod and I am still exhausted from finishing my first Grand Campaign.

Greetings alberich

ye data wise the german flamer is at a disadvantage compared to russian flamer,
in distance of weapon fired, kill ability, and time to fire.
guess the ruskies had some excellent flame equipment.

Forget words, actions will show your true ambitions! The Battlefield,In many cases, the terrain of a battlefield can be the best resource a commander has. A clump of trees, an abandoned house, or a drainage ditch can all be powerful tools in the right hands

Try forcing them to fire beside the tank. It may damage or even scare the tank off (if thats what you want). If they still wont fire, they are scared, suppressed or out of ammo.

lol the guy firing is seaking cover{maybe he tipped over a jerry can insted}! wish i could get a shot off, in cc3 rr it was never a real problem except for normal incoming fire.many many times i have been in range not even under fire and no shot to be had! even if i tell him to shot around the target without the target circle! second option when trying to fire flamethrower.

sorry but it does not matter what you can say about this i have played to much close combat and know there is something roten in denmark, and flamer does not work like it should and use to in CC3 real red and so on! its just broke after at least25 to 30 squads of engneers have died and never fired a flamer in anger!

tigercub,

i play CC online since CC2 and i really know that flamethrower is far from perfect in CC series.

As for Stal, they use FTs very good...if u need proves, ask Pzt guys how AT commanders use their Pios in ruins of Stal :hurt8 Same for russ FTs in hands of Pzt..

So imo it's just a matter of tactics....improve yers Very Happy

Well Tiger, your flamers have taken their toll on my disillusioned red comrades in recent battles. Seems you found the magic wand!

Besides, your reference to something being rotten in the state of Denmark is not well received! That was merely a creation of William Shakespear's imagination when he wrote his famous play back in 1603.

It's just a GAME after all...
