I've installed the mod manager and also the Stalingrad mod. When I start CC it still acts exactly the same as it used to. Is there another step to installing mods I should know about?

did you install the mod via the config manager?

unzip config files into C:/Config manager (create that folder).

unzip the stalingrad.zip into the C:/Config manager/Plugins folider

click the exe icon, and click on stalingrad, and install

voila!

should work

That's pretty much what I did. It still acts the same, however.

Forget words, actions will show your true ambitions! The Battlefield,In many cases, the terrain of a battlefield can be the best resource a commander has. A clump of trees, an abandoned house, or a drainage ditch can all be powerful tools in the right hands

if you installed the plugin and had a problem, then uninstalled via the config manager then re-installed....you will still have a problem. The config manager uninstalls the pln file, but it does not delete the mod files in the 'Packages' folder. And, when you reinstall the plugin, it does NOT over write the files already in the Packages folder.

Thus you need to:
uninstall plugin in config manager; AND
manually delete the folder containing the mod's files from the 'Packages' folder.

then reinstall the correct plugin.

This is why its important for plugin makers to ENSURE their plugins do not contain any errors at all. If there are errors, then people will have to manually delete files.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
