Okay more on RSR II.
I had an idea yesterday which may... or may not be frigging brilliant.
As us of you know I'm messing around with the RSR mod. I got to thinking last night that this is a potentially great mod as it has so many nationalities.
So based on that premise I started thinking about downscaling the mod.
For years we CC fans have been talking about a division vz division mod and it strikes me that RSR II might be that mod.
SO the new concept, and at this point it's just a discussion point is a new start map of a fake area of Germany, the sort of area where one division might meet another and get down to some serious boogying about.
All of the vehicles already exist in the tanks AZP all (all yeah I know big all) we need do is create seperate alsteams, axsteams, bgroups so we can have Soviet tank corps or Soviet mech corps or Soviet airborne (or other WP units) verse a German panzer div, or mech div or US or British or Dutch or French or whatever. So essentially we don't have the whole WWIII but one on one, maybe two on two?
Then just cut and paste these files over the current ones and we're away... aren't we? Essentially we have probably 20 mods in one. Because the strat is fakeGermany we can have the soviet advance, the NATO advance or NATO counter attack or whatever we want so far as a campaign goes. The permutations are huge... with tweaking we could even fight a Soviet vz WP or Soviet civil war?

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
