Im a bit confused as to what the forces icon represent. i dont know if its a regiment or something else i have always thought for example 112/94 meant the 112 regiment of the 94 division because ive noticed that around three force icons fall under this same 'division' if that is, what it is. ie 112/94 116/94 and 129/94.

Another question i have is, am i correct in thinking that the panzer abt force in GJS 4.4 is just a battalion, is this correct that the germans put there heavy armour in separate groups such as these heavy tank battalions.

Hi, yes 112/94 mean 112 regiment 94 division for example, the regiments are not necessarily 112 113 114 order, depends of organisation of a division: some divisions are in this way, some not. About your last question: yes it is a battalion.

As I understand it, (my limited understanding of Military Organization is grazed from the book We Were Soldiers Once...and Young) each of the battles you play are fought among Companies of each regiment. That's why (generally) the highest ranked soldier on the field is a Captain or a Hauptmann (Hauptsturmfuhrer for SS units). Dunno if that helps you much.

There are old soldiers and there are stupid soldiers. There are no old, stupid soldiers.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
