Russian response to 'Fury' (2014). Remake of great 1965 Soviet movie (available on YouTube, but no subtitles unfortunately). |

Unknown Soldier is an EPIC movie about the Finns fighting the Soviets during the Continuation War in Karelia. It is a must-see for anyone interested in war films.
The "T-34" movie you mentioned is actually called "Tanks for Stalin" and is decent. It's about the production of the first two T34 prototypes and the decision to race them across country to Moscow for Stalin himself to inspect. Along the way they get waylaid by bandits and harassed by other Soviet military formations which don't recognize it and think it's a foreign tank. Fairly entertaining.
"King's Choice" is decent and more of a drama, but it has one firefight scene which is really well done. The tension among the Norwegian troops can be felt as they await the approaching German invaders and engage in combat.
I'd also highly recommend one called "April 9th", about the German invasion of Denmark and how one little Danish unit fought hard, not knowing the rest of the country had already surrendered. Superb combat scenes, really well produced.
The one I'm looking forward to, and I'm not even sure if it's still in production, is the British production about 'Pegasus Bridge' (tentative title). I'm not sure if that project is still alive or not, but it looks to be good. |

No, thats two different movies: 'T-34' is about escape on tank from german shooting range and 'Tanks for Stalin' (just 'Tanks' in russia) is what you told about. Bad, but funny movie, which i can decribe as 'Mad Max in Stalin`s USSR' |

Some questions arose in me:
Where is F35? Shouldn't a movie help its sales?
Considering landscapes under the wings, will it be mission in Russia?
Captain rank...he should be at least chief of CAG. That is a staff position, i guess, not like in Vietnam era when CAG commander personally leads the wings in plane, so - why he is still in a plane? |

Watched the Unknown Solider (Finland) very well made movie. Combat scenes were mostly realistic with except for anti-tank depictions when Russian tanks had zero infanterie support. Not a single Ruskie in sight heading into heavily defended forest?
New remake of Midway will be released in November. The trailer looks disappointing they went crazy with too much CGI, scale is way off does not look very realistic. https://twitter.com/midwaymovie
Interesting to see that Top Gun 2 will be release next year with Tom Cruise again. I hope that one does not disappoint and sticks to live action instead of getting crazy with CGI special effects like Midway. |

It is difficult to find Russian produced WW2 documentaries. Don't think there has been much effort to help produce new updated films or even documentaries. They have RT in English every day but no new real documentary films? |
