Hi,

I have been reading a lot about rebuilding after crashes. That seems like a good idea.

But how do you actually do it?
Long time lurker first time writer.
Thanks in advance

there are basically two ways to rebuild if game crashes.

first version is to rebuild all, including casualties. this usually takes a while tho. for example, you lost 4 tanks, 2 infantry teams and 1 gun, opponent lost 3 guns, two mgs and 1 infantry team. at the end of battle you had taken 3 victory locations and covered some ground. to make a rebuild out of this you would stage a shoot out between the units and make sure all the teams first lost actually die. this way you would have rebuilt the losses. now, in addition to this you will have to take the victory locations and also the ground. just take it with one or two infantry teams. then both of you hit truce. ie, its a controlled battle where you just rebuild the results.
sure there are minor issues but for instance what we used to do (me and AJ) we had tanks that were damaged and end of battle, so what we did was to throw dice to see if tank would of survived. 50%50 or so. there are a lot of small rules you can apply when you rebuild, but it requires you know your opponent and trust him.
second version is simpler, and that is to just retake ground. you ignore losses and hope that there will be crashes in the end that will favour one side or the other. ie it will be roughly fair in the end.

so these are the basis for a rebuild. there are not rules really. just to import whatever ideas you have. moreover, id recommend you only use this in private gcs or so, coz if your playing a public gc i doubt too many players will be interested in doing such things

Right.

Makes a lot of sense.

Now all I have to do is rack my brain and try to remember how the battle looked at the time of the crash Wink

Thanks
