Some updates on the mod. Replaced mg 42 & 34 sounds, mp40, mp43, sniper rifle for both side, bofar and polsten, panzershcreck, handgun for both sides, stuart tank, 30cal, spigot, etc.. The new sounds play good but I still have to adjust some other files. It might take me a bit longer for the adjustments and the alpha test. I will keep everyone posted on the other improvements and the release date.
I have also created a new sound mod for RegXtra 3.2 by Lord4War.
I have not released the GJS44 sound mod yet (still under alpha test) but if you like to hear some samples of the sound mod please check out the latest RegXtra plugin mod by Anzac_Lord4War. Click the link below....L4W added the sound mod as standard for his latest plugin.
I have been observing that same bug on my sound mod as well. I can't say much on what is causing the sudden change of sound. From what I have observed, AI uses 3 (three) different wav files simultaneously. One for the airplane sound that we hear, another for the heavy machinegun sound (has a specific sound for the gun) and one heavy explosion wav sound which AI picks among the various naval barrage wav files. The error that I notice here is the random use of sound obtained by AI when we click on the British airstrike. Instead of using the 3 wav files that I mentioned above, AI picks on a different sound; example: tank gun wav file or someother sound file.
Causes:
1. I may have exceeded the number of wav file used.
Normal range =100-105 wav files - based on other sound mods
No.of files I use =140 wav files
2. Size (KB) of each wav file. I have added a lot of details on some of the files. Total MB of the sound wav is 41.9 MB.
Possible Fix: I might lessen the number of files for now and observe any change. This means less noise on the mod
well Boka your sounds breath new feeling into the mods.
i hope the sound will be released soon...i kindda like testing new sounds. hehe if your sound could be used in Winter War 2.0 to be released soon it would be nice too!

i believe u may have deleted the file in use
thinking it was not being used by any sound in game and replaced it with a sound u could use.
u just need to take notice of the sound which plays during airstrike.
and click thru all ur sounds u know it will be in the first 104 sounds.
then replace the sound
and dont forget to check if any of the weapons r assigned the new air sound.

Yes Mariq, That would be nice. Winter War 2.0 sound mod will be next on my list. Do you have MSN messenger? Let me know when is the best time for us meet.
Hello Lord4War, you are right it is a different sound file that was copied in numbers 101-104. Very confusing I will look it up again to make sure. Thanks Lord

The Winter War mod for CC5 is pretty good. The orchestral (no words) song at the battle menu songs great and adds good ambiance. (what is its name?)
For future versions of the game, I suggest adding this Russian song too: Prinimay Nas Suomi Krasavitsa, from 1939. You might consider adding it into the main menu as background music, or, another possibility is if the Russians win.
