PostPosted: Wed Jul 27, 2005 1:08 pm Post subject: CC5 scrolling Reply with quote

I just started playing CC5 again for the first time in 2 or 3 years on my new laptop. The game runs beautifully but i'm finding it really awkward scrolling around the battle field because the scrolling goes super fast. I'm pretty sure that thats because of the resolution im playing at 1400x1050 and I was wondering if there is a solution to this (other than turning down my resolution because i love it) I get the same problem with the campaign map. I try to scroll around on that and it just jerks from screen to screen. I'd actually love it if i didn't have to scroll around at all. Is there no way to get the map smaller so that I can see the whole thing on the map screen?

Thanks for the advice.

Oh btw im playing the GJS mod in case that helps at all (fantastic mod btw)

Hi

Well...

You could try and click options, bottom left of screen. Somewhere there you can change the scroll speed. Havent found much difference myself though.

Hope that helps.

u need to right click on ur cc5 icon and select properties.
then compatibility
and choose to run programe under windows98 mode.

this will fix ur super fast scrolling speeds.
this only applies if u r using windows xp.

to solve it and reduce the speed of the scrolling:

Xp compability ( if u use windows XP of course) to add on Window 98 compability

the mouse speed, on your mouth option, select a sower speed

the scrolling option of CCV, reduce the scroll at maximumu

then your scrolling will be less fast

Tout est possible ... il faut juste connaitre quand.

Thanks guys.
Actually changing the scroll speed worked just perfect. I looked at the options before but I didn't see the option ot change the scroll speed Embarassed
Just out of curiousity what game speed do you play at? Slow, Medium or Fast? I set it to medium but sometimes I get frustrated by how bloody slow my troops move.
