Then you didnt really try. Its litteraly written within the first 4 pages! .btd files are only for games that have a stratmap and its a textfile for the later games that sets positions and points of victory locations. For CCMT .btd files are not needed.

The pb with the manuel is that I use french manuel for CC5 and these informations are not in

I searched in the entire english manuel without find : in no any part of the english manuel, there is a section that gives informations about extensions of the map files (I also searched the termes ".btd" with the "search function" and I found nothing.

You seem read english perfect, but it's not my case : I did not learn it in school and all I know of english was learned after school (due to the use of english wargames Mr. Green ), it's very hard to read an entire manuel to get one little information lost in 70 pages of english language, that is at essentiel like obscure chinese for me Rolling Eyes

Ok for BTD.

The question is now for other extensions :

BGM
RFM
MMM

Here is the complete list of 30 square maps that are full playable in CCMT

These maps are extracted from the RedStormRising mod (mod for CC5), downloadable here :

http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/modules.php?name=Downloads&op=getit&lid=1263

You have just to download the mod and get the files of the concerned maps : there are 7 files for each map (files with extensions txt, bgm, mmm, rfm, ovm, los). Files with extension btd are not  needed but you may get them if you want (they have no effect in CCMT)

Files must be placed in the "MAPS" directory of CCMT

These 30 maps are directly playable in CCMT without any modding work

Other maps of the mod are not square maps and will not work in CCMT without be resized with specific tools

The one I uploaded image in previous post (modern airport map) is the Mueritz map

PostPosted: Sun Oct 29, 2023 8:33 am Post subject: Shared web doc about CC Reply with quote

Time is now to share the stuff I collected.

I begin first with the documentation : In my MEDIAFIRE Account, you will find a great amount of interessant and usefull pages from :

* Close Combat Series : a little espace where crazy close combats users  and modders play a very Twisted Evil  old game
* Matrix CC forums

The registered pages are in html format (not complete page, just html).

But with the content text of these html pages and name of authors of posts, you will be able to find exactly the complete page directly on internet if needed (using search process in CC Series or in Matrix forum, or Google, or following the list of post in account of users if you are logged in CC series or MATRIX forums)

All the html pages are classified by great categories (in directories  by alphabetic index)

I had no enough time to read all theses CC pages, I just refer me to them when I encounter a pb : so, experimented specialists like Schnellemeyer, please excuse me if I ask sometime for questions that are solved in this large web collection  Wink

LINK TO DOWNLOAD THE COMPLETE CC WEB PAGES COLLECTION (all CC opus are concerned)
Link moved to the new thread dedicaded to this page collection

PostPosted: Sun Oct 29, 2023 8:44 am Post subject: Re: Pack to collect maps, scenarios, mod, and all stuffs for Reply with quote

I will some later upload the maps I collected.

At this time, I have just collected square maps for CCMT
But if I have success in my attempts to resize maps (with help of Schnellemeyer Wink ), I will collect all also "no square maps"

For this project, I need some informations by specialists, please:

What are the maps (square or not square : not important for the question) opus that do not need any recoding to work with CCMT or maps that need recoding  ? Because my intention is to classifiy maps in 2 cathegories : map that work without any recoding (because work not needed or already being made), and maps that need recoding : by this classification method, users may in few secunds if the maps are immediatly usable to be played in CCMT;

And in a second time, I will do "sub classification" for map that do not need any recoding :
1/ Square maps (at origin) or resized to be square
2/ Maps that need to be resized with tools (CC2 Tool or CC5 Tool)

And in this last case, the thread here :
http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=12428
wil be very usefull for beginners (like me Rolling Eyes  ) in resizing maps work who want to be able to resize quicly their prefered maps
