In January, Airborne Assault(AA) will be conducting team operations in Stalingrad, playing all three ops (north, west, south) against CF, GS, and DAK clans. If you are interested in joining the Russian side, visit www.airborneassaultclan.com and see if AA is right for you. If you would like to play german, see if CF, GS, or DAK are something you're interested in. See you in the factories
Stalingrad op has begun and will continue tomorrow on Gamespy.
Good job to the German team who had some stunningly good victories in day 1.
This operation is a prelminary op to the team op war in January where DAK, CF, and GS will square off against AA. Right now CF, AA and GS have troops on both teams for this op:)

Currently on 17 Sep pm:
German assault has slowed in the north but continues in the south with the 24/24 Panzer leading the way. I will try to post some screenshots and AARs here in future.
Well, his supply is cut! our gamble worked moving into stadium with 244 Rifle. He didn't bring any Pz VIs so I waited for his inf, killed them in the buildings then pushed him a bit, taking out a platoon leader halftrack, 3 paks and assorted inf. Our T 34s are pretty decent now crew wise.
Doigy Gully AA_Bjorn vs CF_Cobalth 17th pm,
He brought 2 marders and one had supply. He came at the small buildings around the barracks hill vl with lots of inf and one of the mobile marders. My T 60 (20mm gun, not bad vs inf at all ) chewed up 15 of his men after dodging his arty. His arty did kill one of my militia squads though. The T 60 got the order of Lenin medal (I think, that's what it looks like) but bit the bullet when I tried to retake the vl and the marder got a quick shot on him. Also lost a T70 while trying to get a shot on the marder, but he fired first

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
