The germans have more ATG's, though the Russian ATG's are generally more powerful.
Pak38 with the 5cm gun for germans is the usual vs the 7.62mm Divisional Gun for the russians.
that sounds pretty much like Propoganda .
odd, Wruff didn't tell that 'small' Pak38 can KO T34/KV with front shot(SP shell) at ranges up to 200m.
Even v.small can KO T34 with 2 HEAT grenades it has.
So guys generally Mercs used ATGs wiser thus lost less of them . Check Merc forums for AARs .
Yes its all something to do with eggs and omelettes!
Cheers

That explains those burning T34's at Red October Settlements.
Really though I was suprised when one of those Paks38's got two T34 kills in a battle there, hanging tough while german armor went up in smoke.
It was within 200m as you say. In great cover. A couple of those T34's deployed up close.
Hey. I didn't make the mod. I'm just going off of experience.
Mercs did do a remarkable job making what few of those big ATG's that they had lasting to the latter rounds and being a real thorn in our side in many cases. We didn't have the armor reserves to throw at those monsters.
In my experience those Russian 7.62mm division guns should be avoided as much as possible by german armor. Germans better hope that they get off the first shot and don't miss the mark or kiss that panzer goodbye.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
