Thanks for corrections!
In this book authors said what 26 gv.ttpp and 27 gv.ttpp were fitted with newly introduced IS-2 tanks. Maybe they wrong - all photos with IS-2 at Karelian isthmus are regarding 27 gv.ttpp only.

Thanks for all your work with this!

In my other book about this battle (in Swedish) it says that the Finns never had seen the Is-2 tank before this battle and mixed it up with the KV tanks.

It says to: "There was no IS-2 in the battles of Vuosalmi-Ärypää" and because that area was for the 23rd Army i suppose they had no "stalin" tanks but the book could be wrong.....

In the mod there is no IS-2 for the 23rd Army, so far...

Thankyou again for your help!

/Mats

One more question? How common was the T-34/85 model compared to T-34/76 in summer -44?

T-34/85 obr.44 was issued to troops in spring 1944. As Karelia was secondary(even triary) TOE only 1 or 2 Tbr had T-34/85. I pointed those in CSO thread.
1)85mm didn't have HE shell so was useless vs fortifications.
2)No hvy german tanx to use 85mm gun against.

Karelian Front was like ZOO for old models of weapons and vehicles Very Happy. As it was mostly static since late 1941.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
