Thanks for the updates. Were you able to salvage any of the previous attempts made at OMG for CCV? Or do you have to start this completely from stratch?
I thought there were at least 2 previous attempts at OMG for CCV and that those modders could share work with you to save time?
Thanks for the update on the Scheldt mod. Sounds very interesting. I am still blown away by the movie: "Riddle of the Sands".... and the German North Sea coastal scenery (even though that time period was WWI).
Thanks for all your efforts in making this mod a reality.

These are going to be some kick-ass mods. Given the person in charge (BC) you know they will be.
BTW Buck you need to give yourself more credit mate. I did very little to help you. A few tips and a few waves here and there but you're the one who took the time to do the maps and make the mods. Hats off to you mate. I can't wait until you can experience the pleasure of handing the mods over for everyone to use. Truly rewarding.

Hahahah Thnx jim, But i feel i have to give credits to those who teached and are teaching me how to make maps. An i have got the feeling i will need your help in the near future on new waves for my maps as i have decided to redo all the beach maps on walcheren because i have someone who's (norden) helping me with new texture's
Cheers Buck
If you are short of everything but enemy, you are in the combat zone.
a bit of an update on behalf of the maps and data.
Recently i found some 250 euro's free to buy some new aerials (Ossendrecht, Putte, Terneuzen, Hoofdplaat, Cadzand, Biervliet and an aerial from the road linking Phillipine and Biervliet) As you can see i got to work on it and finished 3 of these maps . the others are still in progress or have to be started. Also i've recieved some new textures from Norden like new roofs etc i've started to put these in to the old maps with (imo) a very nice and realistic effect. Also Norden learned me a new trick on how to make nice and realistical trenches as u can see on maps like vlake phillipine and ossendrecht.
Concerning data dima send me a whole set of new data wich looks very good and i have played it against ai it works ok. i'm expecting dima to send me a new update so i can get further along with the game. also i have adapted the ingame graphs to the new maps and new teams.
Hope to have informed you enough
Cheers Buck

I have been quite busy these last week updating stuf on this mod i will try to list some things i did here.
Maps:
I Updated te following maps: Bergen op Zoom, Hoogerheide, Woensdrech, Angus, Ossendrecht, Putte, Wildert, Wouwse Plantage, Rilland, Krabbendijke,Yerseke and Wemeldinge. Most of the changes are made on the roads, roofs and tree's. But also things like bushes and walls are replaced by new ones. I owe Norden great thanks to his devotion on making most of these graphs. Concidering his study takes a lot of time he has. He is also working on a large serie of bunkers for some atlantik wall maps i made for the isle of walcheren and Vlaanderen. Also i made some new maps and replaced some old ones. fe Baarland; i extended the combat area from the dike to the small village and made some minor german defense positions based on the farms in the landscape. also i remade the map of hoofdplaat based on a new aerial. there is also 1 new extra map being phillipine road this was the area in wich the canadians tried to lur german attention to instead of the braakman and eede maps.
Data:
Dima has been very productive these last months altough he is very irregular online. he made a final version of his data set for the allied teams still waiting for him to send me the new german teams. other than that i can't tell you guys very much. hope to be able to release a beta mod somewhere around the summer or autumn.
Cheers Buck

Great authentic looking maps and I like the Stratmap design!
Keep it up, Buck! This is certainly another promising CC5 mod I'm looking forward to playing.

Buck, be sure to tune in to Ned2 tonight (20.55), because "Andere Tijden" has dug up footage from Canadian archives, showing the Canadian invasion of Holland, including the battle of the Scheldt.
The footage, shot by Canadian soldiers (The Canadian Film and Photo Unit), and consisting of mostly unpublished material, has been turned into a historic film, and premiered yesterday for Canadian veterans and their relatives.
If you can't watch it I'm gonna record it, and probably put it online for download if there's interest.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
