June 6th Morning

Vierville 2II6/FJ vs 3/502/101st AB

German attack map. Red came heavy from all sides but the Germans were
well dug in in a multi-layered defense. 7 MG42s and various infantry teams
started pouring it on. Red didnt care, full steam ahead. Both sides took
heavy casualties but clearly the Germans came out winning this match in
terms of casualties.

Uncle Red 1/919/709 vs ?????

I took a gamble here. I took all ATGs and lined them up with clear LOS on
the beach. My gamble payed off, within seconds 6 Shermans were KIA'd and
1 Halftrack. I lost 2 ATGs and some infantry. The rest of the battle I tried to
disband him. Having taken so much AT I didnt have enough infantry to
make it happen.

St-Come Du Mont 1058/91st vs AB

This map was a meeting engagement. I had many light tanks to scoot
around the map with. My goal was to just contain the Americans on the East
edge of map. After some early successes I realized it was time to go for the
kill. With my tanks supporting the infantry I was able to disband the
Americans in this great victory.

June 6th Afternoon

Monteburg 919/709 vs 505/82nd AB

Allied attack map. Red was coming at me with elite troops but I held all high
ground around his deployment zone. I knew he would have to sneak and
smoke to make it anywhere. My forcepool was weak in terms of assault
infantry. I chose 7 MG34s, 4 command teams, 1 mortar and the rest
grenadiers. When the timer started I immeditaly saw him sneaking around. I
couldn’t get good LOS on him and it was to early to reveal my positions. As
Red sneaked close I started to open fire, know I had him by the balls I didn’t
care which groups opened up and revealed position. Most of the game was
spent by Red jockeying for hedgerows and possible a better deploy for
game 2 on June 7th. As my MG34s kept tearing into him troops he started
to pull back slowly. I ran some gren teams up and as usual, anyone who
stand on their own 2 feet get mortared and I take a few casualties.

After this screenshot was taken I managed to take some of the headgerows
above the Orchard VL and below the 2 houses in the upper right corner. I
also captured one of the VLs farthest out from his deploy. My plan this game
was only to contain the evil airborne troops and inflict more casualties than I
suffered. The plan worked.

Mederet 1057/91 vs 508/92 AB

Germans are out of fuel and ammo here and up against an Airborne infantry
unit. The allies have to cross the marches if they are to make it anywhere. I
setup about 6 MG42s and 1 flak cannon to cover the marshes. Infantry and
command teams were scattered around for support. It was a very
uneventful engagement. RedS was sneaking around and I was pounding his
men with the MG42s, Flak and infantry. His main goal turned into killing my
flak cannon which he did eventually. Losses for RedS were significantly
greater than mine. Game ended much as it started.

Azeville Sturm Bt. Vs 81/41 Motorized

Game started with RedS’s tanks firing on the main bunker in the center of
town. I noticed his attack was going North to cut me off from supply. I had
ample units there to stop the assault. My 3 12cm mortar crews start
pounding his tanks. I found out after the game I disabled 2 or 3. My Pak38
was placed with good LOS down the main road and managed to knock out
2 tanks, 1 Sherman and 1 Comd Sherman.

RedS’s attack continued north. His infantry were taking sporadic hits by my
12cms and were suppressed. I noticed more tanks moving up so I
repositioned 2 panzershrek teams. As his assault came forward on the supply
road VL with the support of 1 Sherman he took heavy casualties. The
Sherman was taken out by either the infantry or the gren teams. 12cm
mortars still rained on his men. As allied reinforcements came up I smoked
the area and pulled back to keep my men alive. Battle ended with favourable
results for me, unfortunately I am out of supply. RedS is also out of supply
since I moved to Tare Green uncontested from Uncle Red during the
strategic phase.

RedS’s assault on road to Quinneville VL which is my supply route.

My withdrawl during smoke.

Amfreville 1057/91 vs 507/87

The results from the morning were good for me. I planned to take the
South Eastern fields and hedges. I chose many assault squads, Char BS1
Flamer and a Flak 38 for support. All had good LOS on the small hedges. On
the left flank, various MG42s and Infantry held.

Battle started with zooks coming at my Char, the zook was KIA’d in a matter
of seconds. Once my flak opened up, Red’s 75mm Howitzer dueled with it.
My Flak lost due to heavy rifle and mortar fire. My Char lost its main gun and
2 crew to the zook or gammon bomb hits. His only weapon left was the
flamer and I charged him towards the 75mm Howitzer to BBQ it. Allies
infantry destroyed it before he came within range. With my 2 major support
teams down, I decided to pull back and ambush RedS from the second row
of hedges. It was a running battle now and I was taking massive casualties.
RedS seen the opportunity and came at me full speed. I was retreating in
the center while trying to hold his men off at the same time. It was almost a
route but I managed to hold onto the map. He managed to break into the
city. Next game will be brutal also as the Germans should do well in close
quarters fighting in the city.

RedS finally managed to squeeze some revenge out of me!

Vierville 1058/91 vs 506/101

My unit entered this map as the FJ battalion fled South West. A new light
armoured unit entered. The battle was very quiet. In the end some casualties mounted but overall nothing to report.

Chef Du Post II/6/FJ vs 3/502/101st AB

My FJ battalion fled from Vierville to enter this map. The only goal was to
probe and possibly get road to St-Come Du Mont. I failed to capture this VL
in the end. Overall, it was a quiet battle with nothing significant to report.

good aar mooxe, again amased at the tactics, the sheer amount of mg's generally, and those guns on red, 6 tanks in 6 seconds! awsome result, you could of lost all guns though if red had some 57mm and more morters, that many tanks there a little silly. id at least form a square with stuarts up front.

a late report of the action on the front... rely on the pics peeps

a red army charge over the fields of meredet in order to gain a foothold in the hedges or as far into the field as possible... only chance or a continous stalemate on the map... i succeeded in getting some new area but mooxe withdrew next turn so all deaths were in vain Laughing

mooxe attempts to kick me off monteburg, the important crossroads inland, a total assault from east but i held off thanks to a assault AB team holding the Orchard house off 3 onstorming Pioneere sections armed to their teeths! i was able to reinforce the sector and when mooxe lost the firepower i started maraduing the map gaining lots of ground, him having merely 1 team left and 00.00

afternoon in monteburg, i keep a strong force in centre while trying to assault up to the church in order to threathen the control of mooxe's fuel road. at outset i realised i coulnt possible hold the vl with basically only a house, so the idea was as i said just to attack up there and get hold of some ground.

mooxe however has decided to attack centre, and the fighting mostly was for the centre. the humour was his schweres team trying to cross road but it was stopped by a twin of 8cm shells Laughing

mooxe moved a new bg into amfreville the afternoon of 7th, was a bloody fight where a 50cal held him off good, but he is outta fuel and cornered, i doubt he'll stay much longer the damn fritz

carnage in chef du pont, mooxe regained his fuel vl through St come du mont giving his FJs food and water for another night. the afternoon he kept assaulting down the right flank to gain road to Auvers in case i move into St come and his fuel from there would be cut short anew. the FJs are hunted!

morning in vierville, i assault up northwest where my tanker kept off a bunch of germans killing em all! Twisted Evil

afternoon, i attack on right flank with the idea to get hold of exit vl to move to st come du mont, the half track was my decoy and it revealed mgs in the field and a flak gun and various german entrenchments which my two tanks were able to pick off from north of field...

Laughing at the end of the day...

overall results, funny that is apart from vierville i didnt do much good with my armour while my ABs did a good job... upside down world Rolling Eyes

cya all
