hi
sorry for my bad english
i have open the ports... for cc5 and for gamespy
i have autorised the 2 progs in my firewalls
i have change the compatibilite from xp to win 98...
i have installed cc5 again
......... i can host 1 game and after...
impossible to connect Rolling Eyes Confused

anyone a idee???
HELP : befor i kick my computer...

see my post from last year" AFTER YEARS OF NON HOSTING I CAN HOST"

SAYS how open ports, i have ADSL with firewall modem router, for over 2 years i could not host, now the last year ive hosted 90% of my games to make it up!
ive got 5 ongoing grand campaigns, 2 public(gjs d day+14,stalingrad no2) and 2 with players like toni,saken,and some ops.

cant wait for next 'war'

tx anzac but i have open all ports for my ip adress with the router... for cc5 and for game spy...
and this is not the pb...
maby the patch 5.01...?
or my firewall : kerio?
maby i have to autorised the "ping and traced in"? or the "other ICMP packet"?
or "Internet Group Management Protocol"?

If you have a router (not a hub) then you do not really need a software firewall, or the firewall windows install. A router blocks all inbound ports that are not needed for regular internet use. It is just as effective, if not more than yuor software firewall.

My advice wuold be to uninstall all software firewalls. Only run an AV program. Anti-spam is built into MS Office and anti-ads are built into IE. Thats all you need.
