Hi guys, I have recently downloaded the Winter War mod and have a great time playing it. But no matter what I try I always get a CTD when trying to play a single battle, which is werid, because I can play the Operation and Campaign with no problems.
Can someone please tell me what is the problem here? Was it a bug in the mod or the plugin itself or because I did something wrong? Thanks guys.
Its a bug in the mod, thiers nothing you can do about it. Infact a lot of CCV mods suffer from single battles crashing, which is one reason why most dont have many single battles.
Yes, it is bug with the mod. A number of other CC5 mods have this same problem (CC4 would probably to if there was more mods). The problem is for a single battle CC5 randomly selects vehicles to place a wreck for but unfortunately it doesn't actually check to see if the vehicles selected have a wreck graphic. To fix this the CC5 mods should make sure they have a wreck listed on every line the original game has a wreck on....

Or, do a small OP, with the map you whant to play as main map, and a second map for supply dump behind it. This works and you might even play the single map many times and see how the battle turnout over many fights.
Main Map with One supply dump+Secondary not to use map with the other supply dump
Play the op with the second map behind your deploy, and its to be your dump there ofcose.
Thanks for the answers, guys! Pity that the developer never fix this bug, but oh well, this mod is still great.
Another thing: I play the Gulf of Finland Operation as Finland and my Team kept losing Ammo and Supply, even though there's nothing between my team and the supply depot. Why does this happen?

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
