PostPosted: Tue Nov 07, 2006 7:22 pm Post subject: Config. manager acts strangely....and don´t work! Reply with quote

(Hi everybody!!! It must be three or four years since I posted here)

I get a strange message when trying to run the config manager.

I have recently reinstalled GJS, and followed the instructions on this site to the letter. I also succeeded in installing both the 5.01 version of CC5 and GJS.

I ran the Config manager to install GJS and everything went smoothly, until now when I try to rerun the Config manager to temporarily uninstall GJS in favor of CC5.

When I click the Config manager icon, I get the message "Plugins folder cannot be found!" At the same time a folder, an empty folder, icon named "System" appears on my desktop, located at my "Program Files" directory.

I´ve checked my Config manager-installation, and I have a folder named "Plugins" in the "Config manager"-folder, and thus I have no clue as to what to do. Confused

What´s gone wrong? What needs to be done?

I´d be most thankful for any help!

sometimes when u unzip config manager (setting it up)
it fails to make the necessary folders.
simply create /make a new folder and rename Plugins
u should have a ``System`` folder as well
and inside ``System`` folder should 2 more folders named
``Original`` & ``Packages``
if none of these folders exist u will have to create them.
when u have pop the unzipped plugin into the plugins folder
they will auto unpack into ``Packages``
with GJS dont forget to make a new video folder in SSI/CCIN folder
and placing the maps in map folder Smile

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
