Sickf1 and I are playing a short Operation in the Utah mod. The battle we
played tonite was a battle of desperation. His tanks are cut off, and his
deployment is about 100 x 100m. To the North in Quinneville, I am cut off.
If I disband Sick, my unit in Quineville gets supply. If Sick stays, that denies
my supply and my unit in the Quinneville is about to fall, thus giving him
supply in Azeville. So a very important battle.
I start about 50m from his only VL. I have two Stugs and one Pak40 for my
heavy support. In the hedgerows, I place around 9 flamethrowers. Some
assorted Grenadier and Command teams nearby. The Western exit VL is
guarded by a lone Grenadier team.
The battle starts out typically, all guns blazing. Flamers were BBQ'ing
EVERYTHING in sight. The screenshot below shows the carnage. If you look
to the Western road, you can see where the carnage used to be. Sadly, the
game ended on a 00:00 crash. Sick would of survived. A lone Command
Sherman with 2 infantry teams took the VL. In our replay, he was unable to
stay on the map. I 12 flamers in the hedges that time. Everything went up
in smoke. Sick had no infantry left, and 7-9 immobile tanks. We truced, and
the game crashed.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
