give me the bipod set up over the tripod set up anyday.
just too convenient or easy.

Leiches is mobile and good for supporting forward movement (attack), or mobile reactionary defense where units will likely move position to engage the enemy.
Schweres has more ammo and fires more rounds per burst (7 rounds/burst compared to 5 of the Leiches I think). Though very heavy and tiring to move and longer set-up. Can't beat it in the right situation though that's for sure. Lethal.

one interesting area im dealing with now in regard to these mgs.
coz of my different element set up.
in where the floors of houses r below the wall line and windows r in use.
is the tripod mgs r such a hassle setting up in 2 story or higher buildings.
then when set up they cant fire downwards easy enuff
then u throw bipod set up in same building 10 times more effective
as it can set bipod up on window ledge in short time.
whereas the tripod is getting exposed for long time on set up.
then i started searching pictures
most bipod mgs r used in buildings too shoot in downwards motion towards ground, this is helped by the location of bipod.
to do same with tripod u would need to have it on window sill (a big 1)
making it very exposed also soldier operating it.
or at least would need to be set up on some desk or table.
even then aiming down is very limited coz of position of tripod.
u cant notice this in the current mods, coz their floor line is on top of roof of building.so only difference is time to set weapon up.
when windows r functioning the actual LOS becomes a problem.
without doubt from a trench or just flat ground the tripod craps over bipod set up
it can sustain longer more accurate bursts
whereas bipod set up require shorter bursts to keep control of accuracy.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
