Im fine with those, but why limit anything?

If you can win a map with 10 Vehicles, all the more power to you.

Also, I know we have a few members that dont like to play with the Never act on initiative. I personally dont care, and in a 15 min game I dont think it matters as most troops stay still for 15 min.

About the limits well i dont care about with or without that's either for me...

Well about the no act on ini, your troops will move themself if they dont receve order after 10 min. That's means you can see a strong defend position breaking their wall some min before the end just cos they havent receved any order ... the Game is settled like that. I see this like a intolerable things Mad but if u prefer to play with act on ini, it's ok for me. Just i have dificulty to understood why any team or soldier will move out of position cos they have no new order since 10 min... It look like refuse to follow order for me, and punished by martial court isnt it? But like i said, if u care to play with act on ini, this is ok :Cool

This came from Oddball, when I asked him which op to play?

- '60 miles' and 'Border Raids' might play more balanced h2h.

and do not have any map connection "issues" reported as of yet.

YOu can pick it Zappi, doesnt matter to us.

Lets have some fun.

Whatever limits you guys want to set is fine by me. Will you be having a second in command( i presume you are commander ZAPPI) so pppl area ble to recieve orders if the CO is not around. Also i think there should be a limit on how many maps a player can do per day

Dacman, if you look at previous post, it was said that no one will play more than 3 battles in a row.

One more thing:

I have never played in any Op or GC where I practiced games in advance or hosted the opposite side of the file with others to see where units are on a strat map, but it is my understanding that some people actually do this. I and the RD feel this is not the way the game was meant to be played (take surprise element out & the fun). We do not play this way, I would hope the MERCS would not either.

As a rebuttel to this I have been asked in past - that there is no way to monitor this. Well, YOu have my word and the honor that our clan is built on that no one will do so.

Looking forward to hearing which Op you all want to play.

I will post my list of players on Wednesday. I will try to create an MSN file of all the RD players that will play, so that anyone can DL it into their MSN.

If you want we can create this for the MERCS if I am given a final list by Wednesday.

I think I'm supposed to post here...

Zappi.

We're nearing completion of Pzt War III, so that's 1st priority. Though shouldn't interfere as it will be over soon.
Also. I'm moving my residence very soon so will probably be offline for a few weeks until I get settled.

I'll try to fight for the mercs whenever possible. Just wanted to give you my stat.

GO MERCS!

-------------------

Regarding that "no peek" rule about looking at the others file. That rule is real nice for allies in CC as they have great recon and see more enemy BG's in strat screen than the axis. So having such a "no peek" rule favors one side over the other which imo isn't fair and balanced.
I don't know if it's a CC bug, or if it's for historical reasons as allies had better air recon late in the war, but the allies have a definite advantage knowing where enemy BG's are located. So having a "no peek" rule isn't balanced in team play.

Just the facts. That's all I'll say on the matter. For your consideration.

Wruff

BTW I confirm for mercenary team. I have no problem with rules and am happy with the inclusion of the broken deploy available. Ilike the idea of some of my forces being "cut off"

In regards to your email Wruff, If the experience your talking about is in relation to GJS then the allies would have better recon as they had air superiority. I don't know if the better recon applies to all mods. But depending on allied air support in African campaign I believe the peek rule should apply to the historical circumstance. ie allied air superiority no to peek. axis a/s or even, yes to peek rule. If that makes sense...

should be both sides can peek.
so both sides r not in doubt about the other activities.
if one side fails to peek,it is bad recon on their part.

Forget words, actions will show your true ambitions! The Battlefield,In many cases, the terrain of a battlefield can be the best resource a commander has. A clump of trees, an abandoned house, or a drainage ditch can all be powerful tools in the right hands

With all due respect, I disagree with you.

I know half of the MERCS that have signed up and if they give me their word that they will not look at both sides of a file, that is good enough for me.

If anyone is not comfortable with this please let me know. You have my word that no player in RD will look at both sides of the file, nor practice battles in advance.

It was not the way the game is meant to be played. Its so much more fun when guessing of units is involved, not to mention realistic.

I never met someone who lost and laughed that I like. We are all competitive (i appreciate that) but we are playing a new mod and trying to have fun, not playing for cash.

Still waiting for the Op you gentlemen wish to play and a final list of MERCS signed up to play.

Np mate, Mercenary can play in blind way ...

I played some battle with Afrika and used the Req to build scenario ....
fought with 25 Pdr AT gun and i saw than this gun refuse to fire any target and keep a black circle whatever the targets are. I saw too some units are in
i didnt tryed the 2 / 6 / 17 / Pdr AT gun ..

Something else now ...
I saw too in via the Req than some place are listed "OPEN" it will be maybe good to add those "OPEN" in a Tiger, Panther, etc ... troops than wasnt evolving in Afrika in this date... But those units would be hidden for a regular game and will bring only if they are selected via the Req, then it will be good cos Ladder's game will luv those units to make ladder's battle....

I'm posting to confirm my entry.
I shall come in on Saturday and play some games.
This is my first time so if I ask you all a trillion questions about things that might seem obvious to you, remember I never really play online games at all.
Don't worry, though, I'm good at CC.

Still waiting to hear which Op the MERCS would like to play. I mentioned 2 above that have no bugs reported yet.

Zappi or someone please pick one. I was hoping you would have this yesterday.
If we dont have it by tonite (Thurs) we wont have enough time to strategize to start the thing on Friday. We'll most likely have to push till Sunday or next week.

May I recommend the op called 60 Miles, in an attempt to jump start this thing?
Oddball recommmends playing the Ops on Vet/Vet.

If you like this Op, please pick a side.
