Here are some ops I made after doing some historical research about bg locations and timelines.

Of note the Indians were sent to Greece in late December, and that is when the Australians replaced them on the line. In early Jan they began their assault on Bardia.

JimRM2/RD_Oddball - thanks for your outstanding work on this mod! 4 yrs of determined effort!

Thanks for posting these Bjorn! Good stuff.

As I mentioned before it was impossible to present all facets of history within CC simultaneously. So faced with a choice I chose the way I did because it was one part of a larger history that CC doesn't have the capicity for. CC doesn't allow you to remove one BG from a GC at a particular time. Once a BG enters it's stuck through the end of the game as you know. Since the Indians were in the beginning of Op Compass it was my feeling they should be included. They were instrumental in the attacks in Nibiewa camp as well as other Italian strongpoints before they got shipped off to Greece later that month.

The only other option was to present two GC's of the same thing with different sets of battlegroups which IMO wasn't an option either. Too confusing plus the net effect wasn't the same as one BG replacing another and the cascading effects that has. It just isn't possible to tell the full story within CC.

Nevertheless I appreciate you putting together and presenting another facet of the same history. I think the order in which this is presented is important to keeping people from getting confused. i.e. Mod released then "the other side of the story" type add-ons. THANK YOU!

Jim,

I agree and understand your intent. The GC is great as is. I was just thinking that the Tobruk op is better with all Aussies and no Indian bgs Smile

Again, thanks for all your work. Quite a masterpiece! My favorite campaign too.

Are you sure about this? first I've ever heard of Indian army troops being in the Greek campaign. Which Division are you talking about? as far as I know the 4th Indian never went to Greece..the closest was a deployment of one Brigade to Cyprus, not sure of when this occured however.

Certainly part of the 4th Indian Division was in Tobruk, being destroyed there.

Cheers
Ronson
PS the ANZACs did go to Greece in '41 fighting there and in Crete after the withdrawal.
