Hey gang, my brother uninstalled CCIV and V to redo doing a Full Install so he can use the mods. Now he can't get either one to reinstall at all. He's only had the computer about a year, and had both running just fine until he did this. He had to disbable DirectX initially to play, and he had no problems since then, but now they won't even install! Any help is greatly appreciated!
Looked around the board first...he's using XP.
Okay, he was able to reinstall (with patches) but when the games go to the main menu on startup, that's when it crashes. Doesn't even get to click Play or anything before it crashes. Sees Close Combat at top of and the rest is blanked out on Main Menu, and then quits back to desktop right after...

did u remember to uninstall 5.01 patch before u uninstalled cc5?
