i checked some files in the Data/base folder and founde the GETeams file.
I opened it and read all the stuff and in there was a description for every unit.
When does this show up in the game?
i have never seen it before, do you have do some thing special first or what? Confused

No problems.
I think the modders should answer this question, since they also write their own descriptions!

There are no unit descriptions used in CC4 and CC5. They were only used in CC3 and the feature was not carried forward.

Karlmortar, when you say that you opened the files, was that done with QClone on a CC5 mod file? There are no descriptions in the original stock files, so it must be a mod, which made it a waste of the modder's time to fill in. There is no coding and no place in the GUI for those to be displayed.

Some modders may have inadvertantly filled in the unit descriptions due to a lack of information on the column structure of the CC4 and CC5 from QClone. Sgt. Wilson made a great tool with only partial information leaked from some Atomic people.

Below is a complete QClone file that has the complete and correct columns and the most accruate columns descriptions to date.

This is a full tool for editing the DataBase files for CC2 through CC5 based on the actual souce code data formats.

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas la guerre.

I didn't use the qclone to open the file.I just opened it with wordpad since it was an text document.
The data belonged to the GJS mod.

Thanks for explaining this.
Now i don,t have to worry about missing any unit description in the game! Smile
